AICPA - Work/Life and Women's Initiatives Executive Committee

AICPAThis committee's goal is to influence the accounting profession to effect the necessary change for developing and retaining a more competitive workforce, including representation of women in all leadership positions and assisting both males and females in balancing their work, personal and family responsibilities. Since this committee's inception, they have asked the AWSCPA immediate national past-president to serve on the committee for a minimum one year term.

     
ASWA - American Society of Women Accountants

The American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA) is an organization devoted to enabling women in all fields of accounting to achieve their personal, professional and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of theASWA Logo profession. Certified Public Accountant status (or intent to sit for the exam) is not required as a condition of membership.

     
EFWA - Educational Foundation for Women in AccountingEFWA Logo

The mission of the Educational Foundation is to support the advancement of women in the accounting profession through the funding of education, research, career literature publications and other projects. The Educational Foundation wants to encourage and enable women to enter the accounting profession and to empower them to achieve equal opportunities and equal rewards. It does this through:

  • Leadership training programs
  • Treasurer's workshop
  • Demographic information about women in accounting
  • Research grants
  • Scholarships
