SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
The American Woman's Society of CPAs, Los Angeles Affiliate, gives accounting scholarships annually to qualified local applicants with 60 or more completed units in the accounting track. Preference is given to student members of ASWCPA who live locally. Applicants should apply through their college scholarship office. If you wish for AWSCPA to send applications to your particular local college of interest with an accounting program, please send the contact information in an email to losangeles@awscpa.org.

Senior Manager
My client is a $1 + Billion commercial real estate services company. They are a powerhouse throughout the world. Offerings range from real estate brokerage to property management to asset services. They manage hundreds of millions of square feet of commercial space. The company also offers mortgage and advisory and management services for private pension funds and large investors.
Located in their office near LAX the Senior Manager, Management Reporting will report to the Director of Management Reporting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Recommend and design management reports focused on analyzing the business and the relationships between results (such as how commissions and bonuses respond to related results or changes in operating margins), as opposed to reporting that simply shows where something occurred
- Directly manage two Senior Financial Analysts
- Support Director of Management Reporting in daily management of department totaling 25
- Mentor managers within the Management Reporting department
- Partner with line of business and regional leadership to enhance customer service and lines of communication
- Creation of monthly management reporting package, analytics, and executive summary
- Support Financial Reporting department in preparation of reporting to major investors, Board of Directors, and SEC
- Review supporting schedules for inclusion in consolidated reporting to major investors
- Use of exception reporting processes to identify and resolve unusual variances during the close process
- Manage the production and distribution of all field reporting
- Special projects with an emphasis in reporting or analytics
- Review policies and procedures for overall efficiency and process improvement opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in public and private industry
- 5+ years of supervisory and management experience
- Financial analysis and/or management reporting experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Working knowledge of PeopleSoft or other ERP system
- Proven success in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
- Real estate brokerage experience desired but not necessary
