The AWSCPA NJ Affiliate began in June 2007 with a mission to integrate the values of the national professional society of women CPAs into our New Jersey Affiliate and offer networking opportunities, leadership skills, advice and an opportunity to enhance the ability for women to succeed in their careers.  Read on for information about our events, job opportunities, scholarships and newsletters.  Our board meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 12:30 - 1:30pm.   You can participate in person or dial into the call. Cash Scholarship Application

Congratulations to our 2011 Scholarship Recipients! Andreea Danalache was the recipient of our Becker CPA Exam Review Course Scholarship. Our Cash Scholarship Recipients were Renee Reitmeyer and Mariah Shearin. Thank you to all members who submitted applications and congratulations again to Andreea, Renee, and Mariah!

Two cash scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each will be awarded by the New Jersey Affiliate of the AWSCPA to two qualified accounting students. Award recipients will be named at the AWSCPA New Jersey Affiliate Annual Dinner in June of 2011. Click here for a copy of the application.

Requirements:

  • Must be a member of the New Jersey Affiliate of the AWSCPA (there is a $40 fee for national student subscription and application fee; NJ affiliate fee is waived).
  • Must be an Undergraduate Student.
  • Must have a cumulative B average by application deadline.
  • Must be an Accounting Major and plan on pursuing a career
  • Must provide a validated full transcript from a college or university
  • Must complete an essay no longer than 1,000 words on topic
  • Involvement in school, community, professional and/or charitable
  • Applications must be received on or before April 30, 2011.

Becker CPA Exam Review Course Scholarship Application

A scholarship will be awarded by the New Jersey Affiliate of the AWSCPA for one Becker CPA Exam Review Course, including review class and comprehensive course materials for all four sections of the CPA Exam. Award recipients will be named at the AWSCPA New Jersey Affiliate Annual Dinner in June of 2011. Click here for a copy of the application.

Requirements:

  • Must be a member of the New Jersey Affiliate of the AWSCPA (there is a $40 fee for national student subscription and application fee; NJ affiliate fee is waived).
  • Must be a student or recent graduate AND eligible to take a review course within one year of scholarship awarding.
  • Must have a cumulative B average by application deadline.
  • Must be an Accounting Major and plan on pursuing a career as a CPA.
  • Must provide a validated full transcript from a college or university in New Jersey.
  • Must complete an essay no longer than 1,000 words on topic provided.
  • Involvement in school, community, professional and/or charitable organizations is desirable.
  • Applications must be received on or before April 30, 2011.
