American Woman's Society of Certified Public Accountants - New Jersey Affilaite

The AWSCPA NJ Affiliate began in June 2007 with a mission to integrate the values of the national professional society of women CPAs into our New Jersey Affiliate and offer networking opportunities, leadership skills, advice and an opportunity to enhance the ability for women to succeed in their careers.  Read on for information about our events, job opportunities, scholarships and newsletters.  Our board meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 9:30am – 10:30 am.   You can participate in person or dial into the call. Cash Scholarship Application

Congratulations to our Scholarship Recipients! Erin Kratt was the recipient of our 2009 Becker CPA Exam Review Course Scholarship. Our 2009 Cash Scholarship Recipients were Melinda Pinto and Nancy Todaro. Thank you to all members who submitted applications and congratulations again to Erin, Melinda, and Nancy!

Two cash scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each will be awarded by the New Jersey Affiliate of the AWSCPA to two qualified accounting students. Award recipients will be named at the AWSCPA New Jersey Affiliate Annual Dinner in June of 2010.  Click here for a copy of the application.

Requirements:

  • Must be a member of the New Jersey Affiliate of the AWSCPA.
  • Must be an Accounting Major.
  • Must be an Undergraduate Student.
  • Must have a cumulative B average by application deadline.
  • Must provide a validated transcript from a college in New Jersey.
  • Must be planning a career as a CPA.
  • Involvement in school, community, professional and/or charitable organizations is desirable.
  • Applications must be received on or before April 30, 2010.

An official transcript, stamped with the Registrar’s seal, must be submitted with the application. Applications and transcripts should be received NO LATER THAN April 30, 2010.

Becker CPA Exam Review Course Scholarship Application

A scholarship will be awarded by the New Jersey Affiliate of the AWSCPA for one Becker CPA Exam Review Course, including review class and comprehensive course materials for all four sections of the CPA Exam. Award recipients will be named at the AWSCPA New Jersey Affiliate Annual Dinner in June of 2010.  Click here for a copy of the application.
